Job summary

Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at Moorebank, Sydney. You will maintain and repair material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery to keep the site operating safely and efficiently.

This permanent night shift role features a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts) including weekends. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime

Qualifications

• Formal trade qualifications required or formally recognised equivalents in Australia.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings.

Amazon is seeking Maintenance Technicians to join our growing Reliability, Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team at our site in Moorebank, Sydney.

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll keep our site operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing material handling equipment, automated packaging, and distribution machinery. You’ll respond to breakdowns, perform preventative maintenance, and implement long-term improvements to reduce downtime.

We are hiring a permanent night shift role, working on a 4-day roster (10-hour shifts) which includes day on the weekend

A day in the life

Our RME Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You’ll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites’ equipment to make sure it’s working safely. As an RME Technician, you’ll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You’ll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.

Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks general building maintenance.

About The Team

Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of excellent team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres.

Basic Qualifications

• Formal Trade Qualifications: Certificate lll in Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license or Cert lll in Engineering OR Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognised in Australia.
• Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems
• Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems
• Ability to read and understand electrical /mechanical drawings
• Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters
• Experience of working to appropriate health & safety standards and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CMMS systems
• Experience with sortation machines
• Experience with maintaining/configuring bar code scanners
• Experience with print and apply machines
