Pental, part of the DuluxGroup, is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team in Australia. The role focuses on reliable, safe operation of production plant and equipment, performing preventative maintenance and addressing issues to minimise downtime.

You will install, repair, service, and test assets, with flexibility across day, afternoon, and night shifts and overtime as required. Join a team backed by a long heritage and growth plans in local production.

Qualifications

• Trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter & Turner with 2+ years experience.
• Manufacturing FMCG background preferred; mining, gas or heavy industry backgrounds also considered.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving capability.
• Welding/fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics or machining exposure desirable.

Responsabilités

• Preventative maintenance on production plant and equipment.
• Attend to plant and equipment issues, perform installations, repairs and servicing.
• Carry out changeovers and testing to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.

An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced Shift Maintenance Technician/Fitter to join our Engineering team.

You will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of production plant and equipment, minimising downtime. Your role will involve preventative maintenance tasks, attending to plant and equipment issues, performing installations, repairs, servicing, changeovers and testing to maximise effectiveness and efficiency.

WhatWe’reLooking for

• Trade‑qualified Maintenance Fitter & Turner with 2+ years experience
• Manufacturing experience required (FMCG highly regarded) — mining, gas and heavy industry backgrounds also considered
• Strong mechanical fault‑finding and problem‑solving capability
• Welding/fabrication experience, pneumatics, hydraulics or machining exposure (desirable)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient using computers and maintenance asset management systems
• Understanding of quality standards and OHS safety practices

Flexibility to work day, afternoon and night shifts, plus overtime is essential.
