Job summary

Mangoola Coal is seeking a self-motivated Heavy Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. You will focus on maximising equipment availability through preventative and corrective maintenance, reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.

The role is permanent full time with a lifestyle roster and an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Heavy Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate is essential.
• Experience in the mining industry with heavy mobile equipment is essential.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

What are we looking for?

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Heavy Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our winning team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will see you work within a highly experienced maintenance team, that is focused on achieving maximised availability, by completing preventative and corrective maintenance.

As a Heavy Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Performing mechanical maintenance on a diverse range of equipment, including:
  • Liebherr Excavators (9400, 996B)
  • Caterpillar Dozers (D10, D11)
  • Caterpillar Mechanical Haul Trucks (789, 793)
  • Letourneau Loaders (L1850)
  • Other ancillary fleet
• Conducting fault diagnosis and executing repairs within cost and time parameters.
• Collaborating with team members to achieve maintenance objectives and improve equipment reliability.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards and contributing to a culture of safety.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Heavy Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate (essential).
• Experience in the mining industry, particularly with heavy mobile equipment (essential).
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• A commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management.
• A willingness to work collaboratively within a team environment.
