Job summary

Mangoola Coal is seeking motivated CHPP Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Mangoola, NSW. You will maintain the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant, performing planned and reactive maintenance to keep the plant safe, reliable and productive.

You must hold mechanical or electrical trades qualifications, have CHPP or fixed plant experience, and demonstrate a strong safety culture. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Qualified tradesperson (Mechanical or Electrical) with CHPP/fixed plant maintenance experience.
• Experience in maintaining coal handling equipment and plant systems.
• Strong commitment to safety and following site procedures.
• Ability to follow a plan and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Willingness to develop leadership capabilities within maintenance supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on CHPP plant and equipment.
• Inspect, service and repair equipment to high safety standards.
• Identify issues and drive reliable plant performance.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to meet priorities.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for motivated and safety-focused Mechanical and Electrical Trade Qualified Technicians to join our CHPP Maintenance Team. Working Monday to Friday, you’ll be part of a skilled and collaborative maintenance team responsible for keeping our Coal Handling and Preparation Plant operating safely, reliably and efficiently. These positions are permanent full time. We offer an attractive remuneration package including performance-based bonuses. Relocation assistance may be available for eligible candidates.

As a CHPP Maintenance Technician, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the reliability and performance of the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant. Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing planned and reactive maintenance across CHPP plant and equipment.
• Inspecting, maintaining and repairing equipment to a high standard.
• Identifying and addressing equipment issues to support safe and reliable plant operation.
• Working collaboratively with the broader CHPP and maintenance teams to achieve maintenance and production priorities.
• Participating in fault finding, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
• Maintaining a strong focus on safe work practices and compliance with site procedures.
• Contributing to a positive and proactive maintenance culture.
• Taking ownership of the quality and standard of your work.
• Supporting the ongoing improvement of plant reliability, availability and performance.

About you:

• You are a qualified tradesperson (Mechanical / Electrical).
• You have previous experience as a technician in a CHPP or fixed plant industrial setting.
• You are familiar with crushers, conveyors, vibrating screens, centrifuges, industrial pumps, and similar equipment
• You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
• You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a challenging and dynamic environment.
• You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
• You are a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
• You are interested in developing your leadership capability and pursuing future career opportunities within maintenance supervision.
