Gen Z Trade Group in Melbourne is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician / Handyman to service residential properties across the city. You will perform general maintenance, repairs, and Rental Minimum Standards checks, using ServiceM8 to record notes and photos.

You will work independently, solve problems on site, and communicate clearly with renters, property managers and our office. A company vehicle, training on our systems, and ongoing opportunities to grow into specialised compliance

• Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to assess what’s needed on site.

Gen Z Trade Group is growing, and we’re looking for a reliable, practical Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our team.

Based in Truganina, we work closely with real estate agencies across Melbourne to keep residential properties safe, functional and well maintained. If you enjoy solving problems, working independently and seeing the results of a job well done, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

You’ll attend residential properties across Melbourne, completing general maintenance, repairs and Rental Minimum Standards checks. Your day-to-day work will include:

General property repairs, including doors, locks, handles, hinges, blinds and fixtures.

Minor carpentry, plaster patching, painting and other maintenance tasks.

Rental Minimum Standards checks, with training on our inspection and reporting processes.

Identifying defects, assessing repair requirements and preparing information for quotes.

Recording clear job notes, photos and materials used through ServiceM8.

Communicating with our office, renters and property managers throughout the day.

Identifying work that requires a licensed trade and referring it to our electrical or plumbing team.

What we’re looking for
