Job summary

Daifuku Oceania in Erskine Park, NSW, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to keep our high-speed automated material handling systems running. You will be hands-on, fault-finding, and responding quickly to breakdowns in a fast-moving logistics environment.

Join a team that maintains safety and reliability while supporting FedEx Express operations across Australia. On-site role with Mon-Fri, rotating shifts and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification and NSW supervisor/contractor licence.
• Proven fault finding on high-speed automated conveyors.
• Experience with automation equipment and maintenance programs.
• Proficient in computer-based maintenance systems (CMMS).
• Willingness to obtain an EWP licence.
• Strong communication and safety-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimise high-speed automated equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and safely.
• Respond to breakdowns and restore system uptime.
• Complete scheduled and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults.
• Manage maintenance records and CMMS reporting.
• Collaborate with FedEx operations, suppliers and contractors.
• Support the wider technical team during peak periods.

At Daifuku Oceania, we deliver the automation technology behind the FedEx Express operation at Erskine Park, and we are looking for a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our high-performing team.

You will work hands-on with high-speed automated material handling systems in a fast-moving, mission-critical environment where fault finding, quick thinking and technical expertise genuinely matter.

Every fault you diagnose, every breakdown you resolve and every improvement you make helps keep freight moving across Australia.

What you will be doing:

You will be part of the technical team responsible for keeping our automated systems running safely, reliably and at their best.

• Maintain and optimise high-speed automated equipment
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults quickly and safely
• Respond to breakdowns and restore system uptime
• Complete scheduled and preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot both electrical and mechanical faults
• Manage maintenance activities, records and reporting through CMMS
• Work closely with FedEx operations, suppliers and contractors
• Support the wider technical team during peak operational periods

What you will need:

• Electrical Trade Qualification
• NSW Electrical Supervisor or Contractor Licence
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with automation, conveyors or high-speed processing equipment
• Sound computer skills and confidence working with maintenance systems
• EWP licence, or willingness to obtain one
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• A genuine Safety-Firstmindset

Non-Essential - but an added advantage, if you have:

• Ability to read control logic and electrical schematics
• Exposure to SCADA, AS-i Bus
• Knowledge of mechanical drives and gearboxes
• Basic networking/IP knowledge
• Experience in intralogistics, freight, warehousing or distribution environments
