Job summary

Bengalla Mining Company is seeking skilled Electricians to join our Maintenance Team in Muswellbrook. You will perform preventive, corrective and shutdown maintenance on the HME fleet, diagnose faults, and execute safe, efficient repairs in workshop and field settings.

Join a collaborative team with a lifestyle 4/5 roster (12.5 hour shifts) and contribute to improving maintenance strategies while mentoring apprentices and upholding health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Electrical Supervisors or Contractors Licence)
• High Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to complete
• Experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment (Hitachi, Cat, Liebherr, Komatsu)
• Strong diagnosing and troubleshooting background
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound computer skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards.

Responsibilities

• Trouble shooting diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on our Truck and ancillary HME Fleet
• Performing scheduled Shutdown maintenance, statutory testing and electrical installations
• Ensuring all work completed is to the highest standard to ensure fleet reliability
• Providing assistance in the development and improvement of maintenance strategies
• Complying with Bengalla's Health, Safety and Environmental procedures at all times
• Mentoring and developing our Electrical apprentices

The Opportunity

The Bengalla Maintenance Team is a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for preventive, corrective and shutdown maintenance on Bengalla HME fleet. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, we are seeking skilled Electricians to join our Mobile and Shutdown Maintenance Teams.

Working closely with the broader Maintenance team, our Electricians play a pivotal role in maintaining our equipment through routine maintenance, fault finding and diagnostics in both the maintenance workshop and field environments.

Using your knowledge and skills, you are enabled to take ownership, prioritise and plan tasks safely, efficiently and cost effectively as well as identify and action improvement opportunities that you see fit.

Working a Lifestyle 4/5 roster - 12.5 hour shifts you will be responsible for:

Qualifications and experience

The successful candidate will have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification (Electrical Supervisors or Contractors Licence)
• High Voltage Switching accreditation or willingness to complete qualification.
• Demonstrated experience with maintenance of heavy mining equipment is preferred (Hitachi, Cat, Liebherr and Komatsu)
• A strong diagnosing and troubleshooting background with proven experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Sound computer skills
• Excellent work quality and attention to detail
• Ability to focus on continuous improvement, working safely and meeting environmental standards.
