Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment according to maintenance plans.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Prioritise health and safety in all work undertaken.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns and communicate with affected teams.
• Support continuous improvement by providing feedback and improvement ideas.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across the full equipment range on site.

About the role:

The Maintenance Technician will diagnose, inspect, service, and perform breakdown repairs and preventive maintenance of Production facilities as well as performing scheduled maintenance services, such as lubrications, engine tune-ups and oil changes. This is a key support role to machinery and equipment is operating efficiently and safely to minimise downtime. You will ensure equipment service history records are kept up to date and assist to maintain a tidy and well organised work environment.

Key operational accountabilities include:

• Performing preventative maintenance production equipment according to scheduled maintenance plans.
• Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
• React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
• Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the manager.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• Qualifications and/or employment background with demonstrated mechanical and ideally agricultural maintenance skills and knowledge.
• Previous experience in processing, welding and/or fabrication would be advantageous.
• Current Driver's License.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
• Team player who can work effectively with people from different backgrounds.
• Awareness and ability to adhere to WHS requirements
• Flexibility in hours worked to achieve operational targets
