Job summary

Hyne Timber in Tumbarumba is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to guide a dedicated maintenance crew, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable plant operation at our Tumbarumba Mill.

You will provide leadership, coaching and direction, drive maintenance planning, improvements and contractor management, with a strong focus on safety and team development. Relocation support is available in a genuinely welcoming regional community.

Qualifications

• Trade or engineering background required.
• Previous leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential.
• Strong communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and team development.
• Industrial maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching and direction to the maintenance team to ensure safe, efficient and reliable plant operation.
• Lead maintenance planning and execution to minimize downtime and optimize reliability.
• Drive reliability improvement initiatives and standard work across the team.
• Manage contractors and ensure safety and compliance during maintenance activities.

• A Leading Hand or Senior Tradesperson ready to take the next step into leadership.
