Job summary

Alcoa is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor at the Wagerup Refinery to lead a team of tradespeople and workers, coordinate maintenance across operations, and ensure safe, reliable, cost-efficient activities in line with legislative requirements and Alcoa standards.

You will report to the Maintenance Superintendent, provide practical leadership, troubleshoot complex issues, coordinate planned and unplanned work with planners and contractors, and drive continual improvement in maintenance practices

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Certificate and Schedule 26 accreditation required.
• Experience in process plant or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Commitment to safety and high-risk work qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach maintenance crews, fostering an inclusive, engaged and accountable team environment.
• Coordinate planned and unplanned maintenance activities to support safe, reliable and cost-effective operations.
• Ensure work complies with legislative requirements, Alcoa standards, site procedures and safety expectations.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting support and root-cause analysis for maintenance issues.
• Manage contractors, permits, inspections, audits and sign-off of safety-critical work performed within scope.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to improve maintenance practices and maximise asset utilisation.
