Job summary

Asahi Beverages is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical to lead a team of skilled mechanical fitters supporting high-speed packaging lines at the Yatala Brewery. You will drive reliability, coordinate maintenance activities and maximise line performance across a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in high-speed packaging environments (beverage/FMCG).
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing contractors and overseeing their performance.
• Ability to deliver maintenance KPIs and drive reliability improvements.
• Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., GEM).
• Understanding of manufacturing reliability and asset management strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance plan execution, ensuring tools, spare parts and SOPs are available and up to date.
• Coordinate maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability and production performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and engineering administration activities.
• Lead problem-solving sessions, identify potential issues and implement effective solutions.
• Foster a high-performing team culture through coaching, performance management and clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards while promoting best practice across the team.
