Job summary

MacKellar Group seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our excavator and ancillary maintenance team on a long-term mining operation in the Blackwater/Bowen Basin region. You'll manage a trades group, coordinate planned and reactive maintenance, and drive reliability and safety on site.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will develop and coach the team, optimise equipment availability, and uphold high standards of workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Mining Maintenance Supervisor.
• Strong leadership and team development.
• Proven ability to coordinate planned and reactive maintenance.
• Solid understanding of excavator/ancillary equipment.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you'll lead a team of tradespeople responsible for the maintenance and reliability of the site's excavator and ancillary fleet.

You'll be responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, supporting equipment availability and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

About You

You'll be an experienced Mining Maintenance Supervisor with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of heavy mobile equipment maintenance.

To be successful, you'll have:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in mining
• Strong knowledge of excavator and ancillary equipment maintenance
• Liebherr excavator experience is highly regarded
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop a maintenance team
• Experience coordinating planned and reactive maintenance
• Strong safety, communication and problem-solving skills
• A focus on equipment reliability, quality and continuous improvement
• Strong planning, decision-making and organisational skills
• Current Australian Driver Licence
• Relevant mechanical trade qualification is highly regarded
