This role requires strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams, robust planning and scheduling, and a hands‑on approach
Our client is an established and well-regarded manufacturing business operating a significant regional processing facility. Supplying products to domestic and international customers, the business continues to invest in plant reliability, operational improvement and disciplined asset management to support safe, efficient and sustainable growth.
In this role, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead the safe, reliable and cost-effective performance of the maintenance and engineering function at a complex processing facility. As a key member of the Site Leadership Team, you will lead multidisciplinary mechanical, electrical, engineering, planning, stores and contractor resources while balancing visible plant leadership with longer-term asset strategy.
You will work closely with Operations, Production, Quality, Procurement and other site functions to improve plant availability and maintenance discipline. Key areas of focus will include maintenance planning and scheduling, reliability and asset management, shutdown execution, capital and maintenance projects, contractor management, engineering governance, budgets and cost control, critical spares, CMMS improvement and the continued development of the maintenance team.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of a broad maintenance and engineering function within an established manufacturing environment. The role offers genuine influence over site reliability, asset performance, capital delivery and team capability, with direct exposure to site leadership and a diverse range of process plant, utilities and infrastructure. For a maintenance leader who enjoys combining practical plant engagement with disciplined planning, engineering governance and long-term improvement, this position provides the scope to make a visible impact on safety, uptime, cost and operational performance.
