Job summary

CBRE is seeking a skilled Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a reactive and planned maintenance program at a prominent on-site facility in the Northern suburb of Melbourne. You will lead a team of 5+ technicians and coordinate subcontractors to deliver maintenance services, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Trade qualifications or proven experience in building repair/carpentry.
• Knowledge and safety awareness around electrical work.
• Experience with repairs and maintenance in a commercial environment.

• Experience leading maintenance operations in GMP/healthcare/manufacturing or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance team.
• Oversee day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance; maintain records.
• Review work orders; estimate time and materials.
• Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment.
• Order materials and supplies.
• Maintain lighting systems; replace bulbs and lamps.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations.

The role will be responsible for managing all reactive and planned maintenance activities onsite, including leading a team of 5+ maintenance technicians and coordinating subcontractors delivering maintenance services.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising the Maintenance team
• Supervising day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repair records as required.
• Reviews assigned work orders.
• Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.
• Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems.
• Assists with installation and modification of building equipment systems.
• Reviews work orders, estimates time and materials needed to repair. Orders necessary materials and supplies.
• Maintains lighting systems throughout client facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.
• Responds quickly to emergency situations

Skills and experience we are looking for

• Previous experience of team supervision
• Suitable Trade qualifications or experience with building repair/carpentry work
• Knowledge and safety awareness around electrical work.
• Experience with general repairs and maintenance in a structured commercial environment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Experience leading maintenance operations in a GMP, healthcare, manufacturing or other highly regulated environment.
