Catalyst Metals Ltd in Western Australia is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent - Fixed Plant on a FIFO roster from Perth. You will lead a Supervisors team and direct strategic maintenance planning to optimise plant reliability, safety and productivity across our expanding gold operation.

The role requires a trade qualification (mechanical or electrical), WA S26, and senior maintenance leadership experience in mining.

Qualifications

• Fixed plant maintenance leadership experience in mining.
• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
• WA S26 Supervisors qualification.
• WA C Class Driver's Licence.
• Experience with Pronto, INX and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Maintenance Supervisors and teams to drive a safety-focused, high-performing culture.
• Plan and execute fixed plant maintenance and shutdowns to maximise reliability and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance practices, people, systems and cost.
• Ensure adequate labour, materials and resources for planned and breakdown maintenance.
• Foster relationships with operations, procurement and stores to meet objectives.
• Champion safe work practices and ensure maintenance work meets safety and quality standards.
• Lead maintenance to achieve production targets and minimise downtime.

About the Role

Reporting to the Process Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent - Fixed Plant will lead and develop a team of Supervisors while driving strategic maintenance planning to optimise plant reliability, safety and productivity across a growing gold operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Maintenance Supervisors and maintenance personnel to drive a high-performing, safety-focused team
• Plan, coordinate and execute fixed plant maintenance activities and shutdowns to maximise equipment reliability, availability and productivity
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance practices, people, systems, processes and cost performance
• Ensure adequate labour, materials and resources are available to support planned and breakdown maintenance activities
• Foster strong working relationships with operations, procurement, stores and other stakeholders to achieve maintenance and business objectives
• Champion safe work practices and ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency
• Lead the maintenance function to achieve production targets, minimise downtime and optimise fixed plant performance

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A recognised mechanical or electrical trade qualification, preferably Mechanical Fitting, Fitting and Machining, Electrical/Instrumentation, supported by substantial fixed plant maintenance and leadership experience
• Western Australian Statutory Supervisor (S26) qualification
• A current Western Australian C Class Driver's Licence
• Demonstrated experience in a senior maintenance leadership role within the mining industry, ideally across fixed plant operations
• Working knowledge of Pronto, INX and the Microsoft Office Suite
• A Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable)
