Job summary

Catalyst Metals Ltd in Western Australia is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold the reliability of the processing plant. Working under the Maintenance Supervisor - Fixed Plant, you will perform preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment at the Plutonic Gold Mine.

You will join a collaborative team, support safety and continuous improvement, and contribute to efficient operations while complying with site procedures.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting and Machining.
• Experience maintaining fixed plant in mining, processing, industrial or heavy industry.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Current WA "C" Class Driver's Licence.
• High Risk Work Licences (Forklift, Basic Rigging, Franna) advantageous.
• Commitment to safe work practices and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment across the processing plant and site infrastructure.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Complete inspections, condition monitoring and asset reporting to support safe and efficient plant performance.
• Assist with shutdowns and major repair activities while ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and maintenance practices.

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor - Fixed Plant, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability of the processing plant by carrying out preventative, planned and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment. Working as part of a collaborative maintenance team, you will contribute to safe and efficient operations while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on fixed plant equipment across the processing plant and site infrastructure
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime
• Complete inspections, condition monitoring and asset reporting to support safe and efficient plant performance
• Assist with shutdowns and major repair activities while ensuring compliance with site safety procedures and statutory requirements
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and maintenance practices

The successful candidate will possess:

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting and Machining
• Demonstrated experience maintaining and repairing fixed plant equipment within a mining, processing, industrial or heavy industry environment
• Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and maintenance experience across mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Current WA "C" Class Driver's Licence
• High Risk Work Licences including Forklift, Basic Rigging and Franna operation (highly advantageous)
• Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, inspection techniques and preventative maintenance activities
