Job summary

Catalyst Metals Limited is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent – Fixed Plant to lead a team of Supervisors and drive strategic maintenance planning across the fixed plant at our Gold Mine, FIFO from Perth. You will optimise reliability, safety and productivity while aligning with operations and maintenance in a growing operation.

Requirements include a recognised mechanical or electrical trade, WA S26 Supervisor qualification, a WA C Class driver’s license, and proven senior maintenance

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical or electrical disciplines with fixed plant maintenance leadership experience.
• WA Statutory Supervisor (S26) qualification.
• Current WA C Class Driver's Licence.
• Senior maintenance leadership experience in mining, preferably fixed plant.
• Experience with Pronto, INX and MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead Maintenance Supervisors and staff to drive a high-performing, safety-focused team.
• Plan, coordinate and execute fixed plant maintenance and shutdowns to maximise reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance practices, people, systems and costs.
• Ensure adequate labour, materials and resources for planned and breakdown work.
• Liaise with operations, procurement and stores to meet maintenance objectives.
• Champion safe work practices and maintain high safety and quality standards.

About the Role

Reporting to the Process Manager, the Maintenance Superintendent - Fixed Plant will lead and develop a team of Supervisors while driving strategic maintenance planning to optimise plant reliability, safety and productivity across a growing gold operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop Maintenance Supervisors and maintenance personnel to drive a high-performing, safety-focused team.
• Plan, coordinate and execute fixed plant maintenance activities and shutdowns to maximise equipment reliability, availability and productivity.
• Drive continuous improvement across maintenance practices, people, systems, processes and cost performance.
• Ensure adequate labour, materials and resources are available to support planned and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Foster strong working relationships with operations, procurement, stores and other stakeholders to achieve maintenance and business objectives.
• Champion safe work practices and ensure all maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency.
• Lead the maintenance function to achieve production targets, minimise downtime and optimise fixed plant performance.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A recognised mechanical or electrical trade qualification, preferably Mechanical Fitting, Fitting and Machining, Electrical/Instrumentation, supported by substantial fixed plant maintenance and leadership experience
• Western Australian Statutory Supervisor (S26) qualification
• A current Western Australian C Class Driver's Licence
• Demonstrated experience in a senior maintenance leadership role within the mining industry, ideally across fixed plant operations
• Working knowledge of Pronto, INX and the Microsoft Office Suite
• A Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable)
