Job summary

CVM People Limited seeks an experienced Maintenance Superintendent based in the Rockhampton region to lead mobile plant maintenance across major mining projects. You will drive reliability, efficiency and a strong safety culture on site.

The role requires a proven leader with 10+ years in heavy mobile equipment maintenance, strong safety focus, and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders. A pre-employment medical and police check are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance and leadership roles.
• Strong commitment to safety and proactive risk management.
• Proven ability to build and maintain client and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience developing maintenance standards and continuous improvement in mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site maintenance and inspections of mobile equipment to ensure reliability and presentation.
• Lead maintenance teams, provide technical guidance and accountability for tasks.
• Promote a high level of safety awareness and safe work practices across the site.
• Contribute to accident/incident investigations in collaboration with regional HSE leadership.

Being based in the Rockhampton region, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Maintenance Superintendent to step into a high-impact leadership position where your expertise truly makes a difference.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing mobile plant maintenance operations on our major mining projects ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and a strong safety culture across site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Co-ordinate overall site maintenance carrying out regular inspections of mobile equipment, ensuring repair and machine standards are of condition with presentation being maintained.
• Take responsibility for maximising the performance of the maintenance team, provide leadership and technical support and ensure that your team takes responsibility for their tasks.
• Actively demonstrate and promote a high level of safety awareness and encourage safe work practices.
• Be actively involved in all accident/incident investigations in conjunction with regional HSE Superintendent.

What we’ll need from you:

• Minimum 10 years' experience in heavy mobile equipment maintenance, including strong leadership or supervisory role exposure.
• Strong commitment to safety, with the ability to identify risks and drive proactive safety outcomes.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience developing and implementing operational standards, maintenance processes and continuous improvement initiatives while having a solid understanding of mining operations, equipment performance and maintenance best practice.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical information and make informed decisions.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to balance operational performance and customer expectations.
• Adaptable leader who thrives in a fast-paced, changing operational environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, mentor and collaborate across all levels.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening, and provide a current National Police Check.
