Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking a proactive Maintenance & Services Planner in Brisbane. This role blends field and office work to plan, schedule, coordinate and verify maintenance, asset, metering and customer service activities.

You will build strong relationships with customers, contractors and key stakeholders, ensure safe and compliant delivery of network services, and support the Gas Networks team in delivering essential infrastructure across Australia.

Qualifications

• Experience planning, coordinating and delivering maintenance activities.
• Site inspections, work scoping and field coordination.
• Knowledge of gas distribution networks or utility infrastructure is valuable.
• Experience coordinating contractors, permits and scheduling.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Organisational skills with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and work management or billing systems.
• Ability to interpret work orders, drawings and asset records.

The Opportunity

At Downer Energy & Utilities, we are seeking a proactive and customer focused Maintenance & Services Planner to join our Gas Networks team. This role offers a unique blend of field and office-based responsibilities, with a strong focus on planning, scheduling, coordinating and verifying maintenance, asset, metering and customer service activities. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient delivery of network services while building strong relationships with customers, contractors and key stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience planning, coordinating and delivering maintenance, utilities, infrastructure or field services activities
• Experience undertaking site inspections, work scoping and customer facing field coordination
• Knowledge of gas distribution networks, metering or utility infrastructure will be highly regarded
• Experience coordinating contractors, permits, scheduling and work management activities
• Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Experience using Microsoft 365 and work management or billing systems
• The ability to interpret work orders, drawings, asset records and construction documentation
