Job summary

Western NSW Local Health District in Dubbo, NSW, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Plumber for a permanent full-time role. The successful candidate will work 38 hours weekly on plumbing and hydraulic systems, including medical plant and equipment, across a rural health network.

The role sits within the Corporate Services & Clinical Support Directorate, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to reliable infrastructure and patient care.

• Proven experience as a plumber in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of plumbing and hydraulic systems in medical environments.
• Ability to work with medical plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on plumbing and hydraulic systems in healthcare facilities.
• Maintain medical plant and equipment ensuring compliance and reliability.
• Work as part of the Dubbo Sector Maintenance Team to support 15 rural hospitals and regional facilities.

About the role

We are seeking applications from experienced Plumbers for this rare opportunity to join the supportive and collaborative Dubbo Sector Maintenance Team.

Seize this opportunity to take an active role in developing your career. You will be working on plumbing and hydraulic systems, and medical plant and equipment, incorporating the latest technology, ideas and features within a health care environment.

The Dubbo Sector Engineering service is responsible for providing planned preventative, statutory and breakdown maintenance program for 15 small rural Hospitals and 1 major referral Hospital that has undergone a full redevelopment with state of the art facilities.

Our dynamic, multidisciplinary team consists of 47 staff with the main trades base being located in Dubbo and 15 Maintenance Supervisors located throughout our rural Multi-Purpose Health Service Facilities.
