Job summary

AGL Energy is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Planner for Loy Yang Mine on an 18-month fixed-term contract. You will lead development of maintenance plans and work packages, ensuring readiness for scheduling and safe execution in collaboration with maintenance, operations, engineering, and procurement teams.

The role emphasizes planning discipline, backlog management, and adherence to safety and environmental standards while improving planning tools and processes.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualifications, an engineering qualification or significant relevant experience.
• Experience in maintenance planning within heavy industrial environments is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance and outage planning and scheduling practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop maintenance plans and work packages in line with AGL Work Management guidelines and Loy Yang planning standards.
• Prioritise, diagnose and plan work orders to ensure they are ready for scheduling and execution.
• Manage your planning backlog and support other work areas based on operational priorities.
• Work closely with maintenance teams, procurement and stores to improve maintenance efficiency and work readiness.
• Identify and implement improvements to planning standards, systems, tools and processes.
• Assist with scheduling activities and help populate maintenance schedules with priority corrective work.
• Develop and maintain model work orders and Bills of Materials within the CMMS.
• Support planned and unplanned outages and emergency break-in work as required.
• Chair and participate in meetings supporting the planning and work management process.
• Promote safe, environmentally responsible and efficient work practices across all planning activities.

Reporting to the Mechanical Superintendent, you will be responsible for developing safe, efficient and effective maintenance plans and work packages in accordance with the AGL Work Management System.
