Job summary

Ventia is seeking a Maintenance Planner to support the ITS maintenance contract across Victoria. You will coordinate planned, reactive and corrective activities and help ensure safe, reliable delivery of services.

Working with operational teams and supervisors, you will develop rosters, track work orders, and prepare planning documentation for field crews, with a focus on accuracy, timeliness and clear reporting.

Qualifications

• Experience in project coordination within infrastructure, utilities or maintenance.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Experience with maintenance/project systems such as Maximo, MS Project, Primavera P6.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High attention to detail and accurate records.
• Relevant qualifications in PM, Engineering, Construction Management or Asset Management desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support short and medium-term work planning, scheduling and backlog management activities.

• Prepare operational reports, work packs and planning documentation for supervisors and field crews.

This role plays a vital part in maintaining and improving the region's transport infrastructure, helping keep communities connected and roads safe as part of the North East Link Project.

The maintenance workforce plays a critical role in keeping the road network safe, reliable and operational for the travelling public. Works are performed across metropolitan and regional Victoria and include planned maintenance, fault response, emergency works, inspections, repairs, testing and restoration of traffic signals and ITS assets.

About the role

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for supporting the coordination, planning, rostering and administration of maintenance activities across the ITS maintenance contract.

Working closely with operational teams, supervisors and key stakeholders, you will help ensure maintenance works are effectively planned, resourced and delivered safely and efficiently. This role plays a key part in supporting workforce coordination, work scheduling, operational reporting and the successful delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance activities across a dynamic live network environment.

• Previous experience in project coordination, maintenance coordination, scheduling or planning within infrastructure, utilities or maintenance environments.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operational setting.
• Experience using maintenance management, scheduling or project systems such as Maximo, MS Project, Primavera P6 or similar.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records, schedules and reporting.
• Relevant qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Asset Management or a related discipline are desirable.
