Job summary

Springbok Foods in Burleigh, Queensland, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to join our manufacturing team. You will define maintenance tasks, plan schedules, and coordinate resources to keep the production line running smoothly.

The role requires a relevant AQF qualification or equivalent experience, with at least 1 year in maintenance planning or 3 years in similar roles. Immediate start and a competitive remuneration package are on offer.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations, stockrooms, and sub-contractors.
• Align maintenance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Develop daily/weekly/long-term schedules based on needs.
• Coordinate labour, materials, tools and vendors.
• Authorize requests and analyze maintenance activities for efficiency.

Springbok Foods is a national wholesale distributor and retailer of the largest range of South African groceries and good products in Australia.

We are looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our Team at our Burleigh Factory.

Key responsibilities

• Define job scopes, step-by-step instructions, and time estimates before maintenance tasks begin.


• Ensure spare parts and tools are available, ordered, and organized efficiently.


• Design and oversee routine, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to reduce unexpected equipment failures and downtime.


• Create, prioritise and track work orders, inventory levels, and documentation inside a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).


• Communicate between operations, stockrooms, and sub-contractors to balance factory goals with repair needs.


• Ensure maintenance procedures align with safety regulations and company policies.


• Develop daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance schedules based on equipment needs, availability of parts, and factory timelines.


• Coordinate labour, materials, tools, and external vendors required for maintenance tasks.


• Initiating and authorizing requests, planning and scheduling tasks, and reporting and analysing maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency in the workflow process.

To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with a relevant AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least 1 year of relevant employment experience; OR; at least 3 years of relevant employment experience may substitute for the formal qualification.

This is a full time role, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum is on offer to the successful candidate.
