Job summary

Chelgrave Contracting is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a high-profile food manufacturing operation in Melbourne's inner suburbs. This casual on-site role focuses on planning and coordinating maintenance to keep operations running smoothly, and uses SAP PM to minimise disruption.

Working with maintenance and production teams as well as external contractors, you will ensure GMP and HACCP compliance while maintaining accurate records and asset history. Monday–Friday on site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Planner or in a similar maintenance coordination role.
• Proficient in SAP PM (Plant Maintenance module).
• Experience within the food manufacturing industry or strong hygiene/compliance understanding.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to prioritise maintenance demands.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with trades, operations and management.
• Available to work on site, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
• Create, manage and close out maintenance work orders within SAP PM.
• Liaise with maintenance technicians, production teams and external contractors to sequence work with minimal disruption to operations.
• Strong understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and HACCP within a food manufacturing environment.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, asset data and job history within SAP.
• Support compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance planning processes and equipment reliability.
