Job summary

Uniting NSW.ACT is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Officer to join our Westmead team. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day upkeep of facilities, ensuring safety, function and a welcoming environment for our residents.

This full-time permanent role offers an hourly rate of 31.51 plus super and NFP salary packaging, with no weekend work, a laundry allowance, and the opportunity to contribute to a purpose-driven community.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance, handyperson, or similar roles.
• Skills across plumbing, carpentry, or general repairs.
• A current driver’s licence.
• A genuine passion for supporting older people in a community setting.

We're looking for a Maintenance Officer to join our team at Uniting Westmead, where you'll play an important role in maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment for older members of our community.

Uniting Westmead is more than a workplace. It’s a welcoming community where residential aged care and retirement living come together, with landscaped spaces and shared facilities that help people connect, enjoy their surroundings and feel at home.

From time to time, you may need to work in other locations within the local area. You will have use of a Uniting vehicle for all work‑related matters; however, the vehicle is not for personal use and must be garaged overnight at a Uniting location.
