Job summary

Viterra is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join the Port Adelaide Terminal maintenance team. You will manage operational requirements to ensure plant and equipment are maintained to high standards, focusing on safety and uptime to deliver a reliable service to customers.

This role includes day-to-day problem solving and long-term preventative maintenance planning, with opportunities to contribute to capital projects while supporting regional teams and potentially traveling within the region.

Qualifications

• Electrical workers license Class A (Australia) required.
• Willingness to learn bearing lubrication techniques.
• Competent in interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Experience maintaining fixed and mobile plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic systems, including PLC diagnostics.
• Assist mechanical staff with repairs to diesel and 12V equipment.
• Develop and implement solutions for timely responses to equipment failures and breakdowns.
• Conduct electrical maintenance and repairs and identify plant improvements.
• Participate in a rotating on-call roster and regional travel as needed.

About therole

We arecurrently seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join our maintenanceteam in a well-established role at our Port Adelaide Terminal. Inthis role, you will manage operational requirements to ensure plantand equipment is maintained to the highest standard and runningefficiently, while focusing on safety. Maximising uptime iscritical to ensuring we can deliver an efficient and reliableservice to our customers.

This rolewill also provide you with day-to-day variety and problem solving,while also incorporating long term planning projects as part of ourpreventative and predictive maintenance programmes.

Duties

• Implement andconduct fault finding and repairs to electrical and pneumaticsystems.
• Assist Mechanicalstaff with repairs to Diesel and 12V equipment.
• Assist in developingand implementing solutions and strategies to ensure the timelyand effective response to equipment failures andbreakdowns.
• Perform electrical(including PLC diagnostic) and repairs.
• Workwith the Maintenance Manager to identify and implement plantimprovements and future capital projects.
• Participate in arotating on call roster
• Travel within theregion assisting other teams as required.
• Execute thepreventative maintenance program in line with terminaloperations.
