Job summary

Bolton Clarke Group is seeking a Maintenance Officer to deliver general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings across our aged care facilities. Reporting to the General Manager, you will ensure maintenance tasks follow the Maintenance Plan and meet safety standards to provide a pleasant environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will inspect and coordinate contractor work, manage budgets and work orders, and ensure compliance with legislation.

Qualifications

• Hands on building maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a similar role.
• Experience in contractor management.
• Experience managing site maintenance budgets, work orders and requisitions.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge & application of relevant legislation, codes & standards.
• Moderate computer literacy.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Pre-employment medical assessment required.
• National Police Check and/or NDIS Workers Check required or willing to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled tasks within agreed timelines.

About the Opportunity

Reporting to the General Manager, our Maintenance Officer is responsible for delivering general maintenance and repairs of buildings, fixtures and fittings, Homes and associated structures in accordance with the Home Maintenance Plan to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

• Manage and undertake inspection & delivery of statutory, preventative & corrective maintenance of the facility
• Provide supervision and coordination of site contractors
• Ensure an aesthetic, compliant and safe working environment
• Ensure maintenance and repairs of property including facilities including cleaning, painting, lighting maintenance, TV installations, hanging paintings, disposal of rubbish, checking and maintaining air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing, furniture removal, and general repairs
• Ensure planned maintenance of Home assets are executed in accordance with the Maintenance Plan and legislative requirements
• Ensure all maintenance activity complies with relevant legislation
• Use preferred suppliers where relevant and ensure all works are conducted within budget and follow workflow procedures
• Carry-out scheduled tasks within agreed timelines

To be successful you will have:

• Hands on experience of building maintenance work and procedures.
• Min 2 years' experience in a similar role
• Experience in Contractor Management
• Experience in managing site maintenance budgets, work orders and requisitions
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment
• Knowledge & application of relevant legislation requirements, codes & standards
