Job summary

Novotel Melbourne South Wharf is seeking a Handyperson to maintain the hotel’s rooms, public areas and facilities. You will work largely independently, resolving maintenance issues quickly while coordinating with operations to minimise guest disruption.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in general building maintenance, facilities maintenance or similar hands-on role
• Experience within hospitality, accommodation or a customer-focused environment will be highly regarded.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities without constant supervision.
• Strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to guest service.
• Confidence using technology and digital communication tools, including HUB OS and WhatsApp.
• Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• A proactive approach, strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster across Monday to Sunday.
