Job summary

Palm Lake Care Mount Warren Park is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to oversee day-to-day reactive maintenance, scheduled preventative tasks, and contractor coordination for a welcoming aged care community. This full-time role supports safe, efficient operation and resident wellbeing.

You will lead preventative maintenance planning, maintain asset records, and collaborate with the Service Manager to improve infrastructure within budget.

Qualifications

  • General trade background or equivalent experience within building and maintenance industries.
  • Manual C-class driver’s licence.
  • Certificate III in Workplace Health and Safety (highly desirable).
  • A current National Police Check.

Responsibilities

  • Complete preventative maintenance of buildings, grounds, plant and equipment per schedule.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests within 3 days.
  • Register and maintain accurate asset data.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs with Service Manager.
  • Review preventative maintenance schedules to stay within budget.
  • Coordinate contractors and suppliers as needed.

Position Details

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Maintenance Officer to join our Palm Lake Care Mount Warren Park team.

In this important role, you will oversee day to day reactive maintenance, scheduled preventative maintenance, and coordinate contractors to ensure our aged care community operates safely, smoothly, and efficiently.

This is a Full Time position working 38 hours a week.

Responsibilities
  • Complete preventative maintenance of buildings, grounds, plant, and equipment according to schedule, including accurate recording of completed tasks.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests and ensure issues are addressed within 3 days of being reported.
  • Register and maintain accurate asset data, including updates when maintenance is carried out.
  • Conduct regular walk throughs with the Service Manager to identify areas for improvement and prioritise rectification.
  • In collaboration with the Service Manager, review preventative maintenance schedules to ensure effective upkeep of infrastructure and equipment within budget.
  • Coordinate contractors and suppliers as needed to support maintenance activities.

  • A general trade background or equivalent experience within building and maintenance industries.
  • A manual C-class driver’s licence.
  • Certificate III in Workplace Health and Safety (highly desirable).
