Job summary

Palm Lake Care is seeking a Part-Time Housekeeping Attendant to help maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents across a variety of shifts. You will join a caring team within our aged care communities and contribute to a safe, hygienic home.

Key responsibilities include daily cleaning, vacuuming, dusting, and waste removal under the guidance of the Housekeeping Team Leader. Applicants should have cleaning experience and a current police check.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, Australian Aged Care Facility experience highly regarded.
• A current National Police Check.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their effect on elderly health.
• Excellent hygiene standards.
• Eagerness to learn and grow.
• Good time management and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of resident suites and common areas.

Position Details

Palm Lake Care Bargara are seeking Part Time Housekeeping Attendants who are passionate about helping others and creating a comfortable, clean environment for our residents. We are seeking individuals available to work across a variety of shifts as outlined below:

Shifts Available:

Week 1:

Mon: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Wed: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Thurs: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Fri: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Week 2:

Mon: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Wed: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Thurs: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Fri: 7.00AM-3.00PM

Working in an aged care environment means being part of a broader mission to protect the health of some of our most vulnerable community members. As aHousekeeping Attendant your position plays a critical role in the cleanliness, and subsequent health, of our aged care community.

A community of vulnerable elderly presents health challenges that requires a hygienic environment. From dust and infection control to occupational health and safety, you’ll need initiative, problem-solving skills, and a clear understanding of hygiene, infection control, and the impact of cleaning products on elder health.

As part of our housekeeping team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining a hygienic and welcoming community. Your responsibilities will include daily cleaning of resident suites and common areas - vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and waste removal - all of which contribute to a safe and healthy home.

Most importantly, under the guidance of our Housekeeping Team Leader, your housekeeper position will make you essential to the things that make a house a home.

• Experience in cleaning - Australian Aged Care Facility experience highly regarded
