Job summary

SEQ Properties is seeking a practical and hands-on Maintenance Officer for BIG4 Caloundra. You will perform general repairs across cabins and facilities, including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing and furniture work, with a proactive approach to prevent issues and keep the park in top condition.

You’ll work closely with team members to ensure safety, functionality and a welcoming environment for guests, embracing a hands-on role in a dynamic, guest‑focused setting.

Qualifications

• Strong general handyman and maintenance skills.
• Experience in a maintenance, trade, construction, facilities or similar hands‑on role.
• Good problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Great attention to detail and pride in your work.
• Good communication skills and a friendly approach around guests.

Responsibilities

• General repairs and maintenance across cabins, facilities and common areas.
• Basic carpentry, painting, patching and handyman work.
• Minor plumbing and general repairs within your capabilities.
• Furniture assembly, repairs and installations.
• Identifying maintenance issues and addressing them before they become bigger problems.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance.
• Supporting contractors and larger maintenance projects when required.
• Helping keep the park safe, functional and looking its best.

We’re looking for a practical, reliable and hands‑on Maintenance Officer to join the team at BIG4 Caloundra.

This is a varied role for someone who is genuinely handy, takes pride in their work and enjoys keeping things working, looking great and running smoothly. No two days are quite the same - one minute you might be repairing a cabin door, the next fixing a tap, assembling furniture or tackling general maintenance around the park.
