Job summary

Arcare Aged Care is seeking a Maintenance Officer to ensure the safety, functionality, and comfort of the facility’s physical environment. You will oversee routine upkeep and repairs to keep the residence in good order, while supporting a high standard of care and resident well-being.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform regular maintenance tasks in the Residence, inspecting and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems, and general repairs.
• Patch, plaster, and beautify paths and buildings for accessible facilities.
• Maintain safety and compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain and repair equipment or coordinate outsourcing as needed.

About The Role

The Maintenance Officer plays an essential role in ensuring the safety, functionality, working order and comfort of the physical environment within the Arcare facility.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Be

• Facility Maintenance: Overseeing and performing regular maintenance tasks throughout the Residence. This includes inspecting and repairing basic plumbing, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, as well as handling general repairs to keep the building in good working condition.
• Patching, plastering wheelchair services, beautification of paths & buildings
• Safety and Compliance: Maintaining compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
• Equipment Maintenance: Maintaining and repairing equipment used in the facility or outsourcing to external companies.
