Job summary

Infinite Care Christies Beach is seeking a Garden/Maintenance Officer for a full-time role based in Christies Beach, SA. The position offers a structured 7am to 3pm, Monday to Friday schedule with a fortnightly phone allowance and salary packaging options.

The role involves daily leadership coordination, general maintenance, safety compliance, and overseeing contractors. A valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is preferred, with training provided as needed.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily leadership meetings to align on activities and priorities.
• Perform general maintenance tasks in line with Infinite standards and guidelines.
• Ensure all emergency, preventative and corrective maintenance complies with statutory requirements.
• Oversee contractors on site as needed.
• Provide strong client service and support across a wide range of maintenance duties (landscaping, repairs, waste removal, painting, tagging).

Come and join the Infinite team as our new Garden/Maintenance Officer on a full-time basis at our Christies Beach aged care home in Christies Beach, SA Christies Beach Aged Care - Nursing Home | Infinite Care

Infinite Care Christies Beach is located in the seaside suburb of Christies Beach, South Australia. The home offers breathtaking sunset and sea views, with fresh ocean breezes, making this backdrop the envy of many. This picturesque seaside environment offers a calming and peaceful enclave for permanent, respite or palliative residents.

This role offers great work life balance as the hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 7am & finishing at approximately 3pm. The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate for this permanent role and a fortnightly paid phone allowance.

Day to day duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Join daily leadership meetings to be across and agree on daily activities and priorities.
• Undertake general maintenance observations & activities smoothly and to an agreed standard in accordance with Infinite standards, plans and guidelines.
• Ensure all emergency, preventative and corrective maintenance is carried out in accordance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to a safety-first workplace for self, residents, colleagues and visitors.
• When required oversee and coordinate any required contractors working on site.
• Exceptional client service skills are important to ensure success in the role.
• Flexibility to undertake a wide scope of activities including but not limited to: landscaping and garden maintenance; general repairs; waste removal; painting and test and tagging (training can be provided after commencement).

About You:

• Previous property maintenance experience is preferred.
• OHS understanding and strong commitment to safety first workplace and culture.
• As a great self-starter you will have excellent time management skills which enable you prioritise work schedules to desired completion standards.
• Work autonomously as a member of the team and have a strong customer service focus.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills and ability to multi‑task.
• A valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to apply for one)
• Positive `can do' attitude will ensure your success in this important role.

This is a physically demanding maintenance role, applicants must be capable of safely performing manual handling and other physical duties.
