Job summary

Infinite Care Christies Beach is seeking a Garden/Maintenance Officer for our South Australia aged care home. This is a permanent full-time role with hours from 7:00 am to approximately 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, offering an hourly rate and a fortnightly phone allowance.

The position supports garden and general maintenance tasks, safety-first operations, and coordination of any contractors on site, with training provided and opportunities within our growing national network.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong safety focus and awareness of OHS practices.
• Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
• Customer service mindset when interacting with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Join daily leadership discussions to align on priorities.
• Carry out general maintenance tasks and follow Infinite standards and guidelines.
• Ensure all emergency, preventative, and corrective maintenance meets regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate contractors on-site when required.
• Provide strong resident-focused service and multi-task across duties.

About the Role!

Come and join the Infinite team as our new Garden/Maintenance Officer on a full-time basis at our Christies Beach aged care home in Christies Beach, SA Christies Beach Aged Care - Nursing Home | Infinite Care

Infinite Care Christies Beach is located in the seaside suburb of Christies Beach, South Australia. The home offers breathtaking sunset and sea views, with fresh ocean breezes, making this backdrop the envy of many. This picturesque seaside environment offers a calming and peaceful enclave for permanent, respite or palliative residents.

This role offers great work life balance as the hours are Monday to Friday, starting at 7am & finishing at approximately 3pm. The successful candidate will receive an hourly rate for this permanent role and a fortnightly paid phone allowance.

Day to day duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Join daily leadership meetings to be across and agree on daily activities and priorities.
• Undertake general maintenance observations & activities smoothly and to an agreed standard in accordance with Infinite standards, plans and guidelines.
• Ensure all emergency, preventative and corrective maintenance is carried out in accordance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to a safety-first workplace for self, residents, colleagues and visitors.
• When required oversee and coordinate any required contractors working on site.
• Exceptional client service skills are important to ensure success in the role.
• Flexibility to undertake a wide scope of activities including but not limited to: landscaping and garden maintenance; general repairs; waste removal; painting and test and tagging (training can be provided after commencement).

About You:

• Previous property maintenance experience is preferred.
• OHS understanding and strong commitment to safety first workplace and culture.
• As a great self-starter you will have excellent time management skills which enable you prioritise work schedules to desired completion standards.
• Work autonomously as well as a member of the team and have a strong customer service focus.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills and ability to multi-task.
• A valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to apply for one)
• Positive `can do' attitude will ensure your success in this important role.

This is a physically demanding maintenance role, applicants must be capable of safely performing manual handling and other physical duties.
