Job summary

Brightstar Resources is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for the Laverton Processing Plant on an 8/6 roster to lead all fixed plant maintenance. You will drive safety, reliability, and cost efficiency to optimise production targets and asset performance.

You will oversee maintenance planning, budgets, contractor performance, and spare parts while fostering teamwork across maintenance, operations, and technical services to deliver continuous improvement in a gold processing environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in maintenance management within heavy industry.
• Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment and process environments.
• Experience with budgeting, planning, and contractor management.
• Familiarity with CMMS systems such as Pronto and asset management principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise asset life and minimise downtime.

We are currently seeking an experienced MaintenanceManager to join our team on an 8/6 roster at our LavertonProcessing Plant.

As the Maintenance Manager, working a 8/6 roster at the Laverton Processing Plant you will lead and manageall fixed plant maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable,and cost-effective operation of the gold processing plant, whileachieving production, availability, and performancetargets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance strategies, including preventive, predictive, condition monitoring, shutdown, and reliability programs to maximise asset life and minimise unplanned downtime.
• Manage maintenance budgets, workforce planning, contractor performance, and critical spare parts inventory to ensure effective utilisation of resources and achievement of business objectives
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, safety, environmental, and company requirements, fostering a strong safety culture and maintaining adherence to the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations and site standards.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development for maintenance personnel, driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and collaboration between maintenance, operations, technical services, and project teams.

About You

• Proven leadership experience in managing maintenance teams within a gold processing plant or similar heavy industrial environment, with a demonstrated ability to improve safety, reliability, and asset performance.
• Strong knowledge of fixed plant equipment including crushing, grinding (SAG/ball mills), conveyors, pumps, thickeners, CIL circuits, gold room equipment, power generation, and associated infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience in maintenance planning, shutdown management, reliability engineering, asset management principles, and continuous improvement methodologies to optimise plant availability and maintenance costs.
• Sound understanding of Western Australian mining legislation, Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations, risk management processes, statutory compliance requirements, and contractor management.
• Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical, Maintenance, or Asset Management disciplines, supported by strong commercial acumen, budgeting experience, and proficiency in CMMS systems such as Pronto.
