Job summary

Viridian Glass Pty Ltd in Sydney's NSW region is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function at our Ingleburn manufacturing site. You will drive plant reliability, preventative maintenance and downtime reduction while partnering with Production, Quality and Operational Excellence.

Qualifications

• Significant maintenance or engineering leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading a maintenance, engineering or technical team.
• Relevant engineering, trade or technical qualification.
• Strong knowledge of plant, machinery and preventive maintenance.
• Experience delivering capital projects.
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or CI methodologies.
• Strong safety leadership and stakeholder communication skills.

Viridian is one of Australia’s leading glass manufacturers, processors and distributors. We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering function at our Ingleburn manufacturing site.

The opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead a hands‑on maintenance and engineering function focused on plant reliability, preventative maintenance, reducing downtime and improving manufacturing performance.

Working closely with Production, Quality and Operational Excellence, you will provide technical leadership, develop the capability of your team and drive improvements across plant, equipment and maintenance practices.

You will also oversee engineering and capital projects, including equipment installation and commissioning.

About you

You are an experienced maintenance or engineering leader who enjoys being close to the operation, solving problems and developing people.

You will ideally bring:

• Significant maintenance or engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, including leadership experience
• Experience leading a maintenance, engineering or technical team
• A relevant engineering, trade or technical qualification
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing plant, machinery and preventative maintenance
• Proven experience improving equipment reliability and reducing downtime
• Strong fault-finding and problem‑solving capability
• Experience delivering engineering or capital projects
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong safety leadership and stakeholder communication skills
