Job summary

LIV Anura, Mirvac Group's Build to Rent community in Newstead, Queensland, seeks a hands-on maintenance and facilities professional to oversee daily operations and safety. You will manage contractors, inspect assets, and ensure a safe, well-presented environment for residents and guests.

Responsibilities include coordinating work orders, supporting minor projects, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships while contributing to sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, facilities, handyman or building services role.
• Strong knowledge of building operations, safety and compliance requirements.
• Experience with building management systems (BMCS) is valued.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance and operation of the asset.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants and customers.
• Coordinate contractors and manage work orders.
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety, presentation and compliance.
• Identify maintenance needs and support capital projects as required.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure service delivery.
• Support fire safety obligations and sustainability initiatives.

Job description

LIV Anura is Mirvac's first Build to Rent community in Queensland, located in Newstead. The property offers 396 rental apartments, including affordable housing, premium resident amenities, boutique retail, and strong sustainability credentials.

About the role

Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our asset, ensuring it is safe, well-presented, compliant and operating efficiently. You'll deliver exceptional customer service, proactively identify maintenance needs, coordinate contractors and help create a great experience for our customers and tenants.

What you'll do

• Build strong relationships with customers, tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct daily inspections of plant, equipment and common areas to ensure operational readiness and presentation standards.
• Identify and coordinate maintenance, repair and safety requirements.
• Undertake hands-on maintenance tasks as required, including patching, painting, basic carpentry, landscaping and appliance inspections.
• Manage work orders and support minor operational and capital projects.
• Managing contractor performance and service delivery.
• Monitor risks, elevate critical issues and support compliance requirements, including fire safety obligations.
• Contribute to asset performance, sustainability initiatives and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

• Experience in a maintenance, facilities, handyman or building services role.
• Strong knowledge of building operations, safety and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with building management systems (BMCS) is highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A proactive, hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Trade qualifications are preferred but not essential.
• A commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality outcomes.
