Job summary

Raytheon Australia is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for the JGSTE program based in Cannon Hill, Queensland. You will lead a technical team and external providers to ensure maintenance and calibration services meet safety, quality and delivery targets.

In this role you will drive technical governance, continuous improvement and workforce development while ensuring ISO 17025 (NATA) compliance and Defence customer expectations across the program locations.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma/Advanced Diploma/Trade Qualification or Engineering qualification in a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading maintenance, calibration, logistics or engineering support teams.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning, performance management and operational delivery.
• Experience in quality management systems and regulated technical environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment (JGSTE) program based at Cannon Hill, Queensland.

In this leadership role, you will oversee maintenance and calibration operations that directly support critical Defence capabilities. Leading a highly skilled technical team and managing a network of specialist service providers, you will ensure equipment availability, quality compliance, operational performance and continuous improvement across the program.

Reporting to the Operations and Maintenance Project Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the leadership, technical governance, quality assurance and operational delivery of maintenance and calibration services across the Joint Gas Support and Test Equipment (JGSTE) Program.

The role ensures compliance with ISO 17025 (NATA) requirements, contractual obligations and Defence customer expectations while driving continuous improvement, workforce development and technical excellence.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Essential

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Trade Qualification, Engineering qualification or equivalent experience in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, Telecommunications or related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical maintenance, calibration, logistics or engineering support teams.
• Strong understanding of workforce planning, performance management and operational delivery.
• Understanding of quality management systems and regulated technical environments.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance.

Desirable

• Experience operating within an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory environment.
• Experience supporting Defence or aerospace programs.
• Experience with NATA accreditation processes and audits.
• Experience as a NATA Technical Assessor.
• Knowledge of metrology, calibration management, or test and measurement systems.
