Job summary

San Remo Macaroni Company Pty Ltd, Adelaide area, is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the busy Maintenance Department in our Windsor Gardens facility. The role covers daily operations, preventative maintenance, purchasing, continuous improvement and problem solving with the leadership team.

Ideal candidate will plan, manage and ensure timely completion of preventive, breakdown maintenance and projects, with regular overtime to meet production demands.

Within our Windsor Gardens Facility, which is where this role will be based we produce dry pasta, fresh pasta, cup noodles, coffee and semolina.

About the role:

We are looking for anexperienceMaintenance Manager to provide hands on strong leadership for our busy Maintenance Department.

This includes the day to day operating maintenance, preventative maintenance, purchasing, continuous improvement, actively contributing to the leadership team and problem solving issues as they arise.

The successful candidate will need to be able to plan, manage and ensure that the team is working together to ensure preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance and projects are being completed in a timely and effective manner.

This is a day shift based role, however being a maintenance manager role will require regular overtime depending on operational demands.

The typical hours are:

Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:15pm (2:15pm finish on a Friday), overtime will be required for the role.

This position does not provide the ability to work from home.

About you:

The ability to problem solve maintenance related issues on production and packaging machines, while achieving maximum machine efficiencies through the identification of maintenance related issues is essential for this role, as well as coordinating projects and preventive maintenance.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

• Proven Experience of mechanical problem solving and planning;
• Project and preventative maintenance management experience;
• Maintenance and engineering leadership experience;
• Experience organising and managing people;
• Knowledge of the food or manufacturing industry;
• Excellent communication and time management skills;
• Strong team problem-solving abilities;
• Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering / Fitter & Turner or equivalent;
