Job summary

Ozcare Group is seeking a reliable Maintenance/Handyperson to join our team at the Clontarf Aged Care Facility on a full-time permanent basis. You will perform general maintenance, repairs, and grounds upkeep to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

Key duties include coordinating with contractors, maintaining records, and supporting safety standards. Aged care experience, valid licence, and first aid qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Current Police Screening Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Queensland Driver Licence
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
• Stock management experience
• Basic computer skills (Word/Excel)
• Certificate III in a relevant field or trade qualification desirable
• Influenza vaccination and one COVID-19 vaccination as required for aged care settings

Responsibilities

• General maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across the facility
• Grounds maintenance and garden upkeep
• Coordinate with contractors and report maintenance issues to the Facility Manager
• Deliveries, courier and driving duties as required
• Maintain maintenance records and equipment
• Identify hazards and report risks promptly
