Job summary

Respect Group Limited is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Services Assistant to keep our aged care facilities safe, clean and well-presented. You will work across buildings, gardens and communal areas, supporting residents' comfort and quality of life.

Join a not-for-profit organisation with training pathways and onsite leadership. A current driver’s licence and relevant maintenance experience are preferred, with salary packaging benefits available.

Qualifications

• General maintenance and gardening abilities.
• A current Driver’s Licence is essential.
• A current National Police Certificate/NDIS Worker Check.
• Experience with maintenance programs or facility upkeep.
• A relevant trade certificate is highly regarded.
• Experience in aged care or similar environments is desirable.
• Commitment to meeting Aged Care Worker Screening requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buildings, equipment and outdoor spaces to a high safety and quality standard.
• Carry out general maintenance to keep facilities in excellent working order.
• Provide garden care and upkeep of outdoor spaces and garden beds.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and schedules.
• Manage stock levels for repair materials and gardening supplies.
• Support asset register upkeep and planning for refurbishments and replacements.
• Ensure compliance with essential services and safety regulations.
• Oversee contractors and assist with on-call duties as required.
