Job summary

Chandlerpersonnel is seeking a Trade Qualified Maintenance Fitter for a permanent full-time role in a food manufacturing environment. The position involves a fortnightly rotating 12-hour roster across day and night shifts, with weekend penalty rates.

You will perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, motors, and other production equipment, ensuring safety and reliability. Prior food manufacturing experience is not essential.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Maintenance Fitter with Australian recognition.
• Experience maintaining production machinery in manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, motors, chains, belts, and pneumatics desirable.
• Welding and fabrication experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and planned maintenance.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, motors, chains, belts and associated production equipment.
• Carry out equipment installations, repairs and mechanical upgrades.
• Complete maintenance documentation accurately.
• Work with Production and Maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability.
• Ensure all work is performed safely per Workplace Health & Safety requirements.
