Job summary

GrainCorp in Horsham or Warracknabeal is seeking a permanent Mechanical Trade qualified Fitter to join our maintenance team. You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, installing and upgrading fixed and mobile plant, with travel to surrounding sites as required.

You’ll use your trade certificate in mechanical fitting and turning (or boiler maker) to fault-find, repair and report on equipment, while upholding safety, quality and timely completion of tasks in a collaborative, on-site

Qualifications

• Must have a relevant trade certificate in mechanical, fitting and turning, boiler maker or similar.
• Proven fault-finding capabilities and proactive, safety-focused approach.
• Computer literate with good time management and communication skills.
• Ability to work at heights and within confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding and repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Attend to equipment failure or breakdowns as they occur.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports as requested.
• Record keeping using SAP Maintenance platform for compliance.
