Job summary

Inghams Enterprises in Melbourne is seeking a Maintenance Fitter at our Clyde feedmill. You will maintain and repair production equipment, support maintenance programs, and help ensure safe, reliable operations.

Training is provided with a four to six week program, then progression to afternoon shift. This role requires experience with industrial systems, the ability to work with Maximo CMMS, and a proactive approach to reducing downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining industrial manufacturing equipment, preferably FMCG.
• Strong fault-finding skills in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with maintenance programs and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend to repairs and breakdowns of production machinery promptly.
• Reduce reactive maintenance and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Contribute to maintenance programs for internal stakeholders.
• Ensure safety standards and QA practices in all repairs.
• Identify and escalate animal welfare, food safety and quality issues.
• Work on conveyors, belt/EWP systems and batching environments.
• Engage with SCADA systems and work at heights.
