Job summary

CMTP in Branxholm, TAS, is seeking a Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker to join our busy timber manufacturing operation. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose faults and contribute to continuous improvement projects at the Mill.

The ideal candidate holds a trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker, with experience in manufacturing or heavy industry, a proactive safety focus and pride in quality work.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Maintenance Fitter or Boilermaker.
• Experience in manufacturing, sawmilling, timber or heavy industry.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
• Pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• Mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Welding and fabrication (where applicable).
• Installing and improving plant equipment.
• Working with production to minimise downtime.
• Maintaining a safe, reliable workplace.
