Opal Packaging is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter for the afternoon shift at the Athol Park site in Adelaide, South Australia. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and offers an opportunity to contribute to a small but skilled engineering team.

The successful candidate will excel at preventative and breakdown maintenance, read technical drawings, and support health and safety initiatives. Weekend work is optional, with a 20% afternoon shift loading.

Qualificações

• Experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance across a plant.
• Ability to understand technical drawings and schematics.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in a team environment.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join the afternoon shift team at the Opal Athol Park team reporting to the Engineering Manager.

Our site is based in the western suburbs of Adelaide, only 15 minutes from the city and 10 minutes to the coast. We are a small Engineering team who are skilled and passionate about what we do. We offer a challenge and an environment to grow and develop. We offer flexibility and weekend work is an option. An afternoon shift loading of 20% applies.

The role will be responsible for:

• Preventative and breakdown maintenance across the plant in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner
• Maintenance planning
• Contribute to the health and safety of the plant
• Contribute ideas for continuous improvement
• Supervise apprentices as required.

We would like for the successful candidate to have:

• Knowledge & experience in safe working practices/procedures
• Ability to understand technical drawings.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work unsupervised in a team environment
