Job summary

Evia Yoghurt Co. Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to support our high-quality yoghurt production as we move to a state-of-the-art Pemulwuy facility.

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and collaborate with production teams to maximise uptime while upholding GMP and health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in FMCG environments.
• Knowledge of GMP and health & safety standards.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Flexibility to start/finish times and Saturdays when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage line setup/changeovers and provide daily production support.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance with Fixx.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform fault finding and troubleshooting to keep lines running smoothly.
• Maintain maintenance records and monitor equipment performance.
• Collaborate with production staff to optimize equipment functionality.
• Assist with setup and commissioning at the Pemulwuy site.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with health, safety and quality standards.

We are an award-winning dairy manufacturer and proud family-run company, producing high-quality yoghurt products for some of Australia’s leading retailers.

As we continue to grow and prepare for our exciting transition to a new state-of-the-art facility in Pemulwuy, we are looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter who is hands-on and proactive. We are a company where everyone pitches in when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage line set up/changeovers and provide daily production support
• Conduct regular inspections and perform preventative maintenance using our computerized system (Fixx)
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform fault-finding and troubleshooting to minimize production downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and monitor equipment performance
• Collaborate with production staff to optimize equipment functionality
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and quality standards
• Assist with the setup and commissioning of new equipment at our upcoming Pemulwuy site
