Zusammenfassung

Laminex Australia is hiring a Maintenance Electrician for our Ballarat site to ensure safe, reliable electrical operation across the manufacturing process. The role covers fault finding, PLCs, automation, and coordinated maintenance planning within a four-on/four-off style schedule.

You will read electrical drawings, modify PLC programs, and uphold LOTO and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement and a strong PROTECT safety culture.

Qualifikationen

• A-Grade Electrical Licence required.
• Experience as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, motor control, sensors, instrumentation, and networks.
• Ability to read/modify PLC programs (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley or similar).
• Ability to read electrical drawings and manuals.
• Experience with automation systems and control circuits.
• Familiar with electrical safety, LOTO and risk assessments.
• Able to work in high‑risk manufacturing environments.
• Team oriented with cross‑functional collaboration.
• CMMS experience such as MEX preferred.

Aufgaben

• Safety first approach and support of PROTECT culture.
• Complete job permits and conduct risk assessments with controls.
• Diagnose faults and repair plant and equipment outages.
• Troubleshoot and maintain electrical, control, and automation systems.
• Read/modify PLC programs to support improvements.
• Prioritise maintenance to maximise plant availability with Supervisors.
• Maintain accurate CMMS maintenance records.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and maintenance teams.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safety, reliability and quality.
