Job summary

Real Pet Food Company is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our maintenance team at Ingleburn, NSW. You will perform preventative and corrective electrical maintenance as part of the factory schedule, supporting a wet, meat-processing environment.

Excellent communication, safety compliance, and CMMS proficiency are essential. Relocation support and tools (including iPad) are provided to help you succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role within a food production or manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and sound judgement, especially for safety/escalation.
• Team oriented, able to work collaboratively across functions.
• Proficient with CMMS and inventory management systems.
• Flexibility to engage in all maintenance tasks beyond electrical duties.
• Electrical Trades qualification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance including unplanned (reactive/breakdown) and planned (corrective, preventative, rebuild) for both offline and online equipment.
• Act as first point of contact for electrical maintenance requests from internal customers and escalate as needed.
• Complete planned work and scope material/labor for requests; investigate electrical/control/automation issues and report safety or food safety concerns.

We are excited to welcome the nextcohort of Qualified Electricians to the Real Pet Food team based in Ingleburn. Reporting to our Electrical Engineer and working in our Maintenance team you will be responsible for the provision of preventative and corrective electrical maintenance as part of the factory maintenance schedule.

Our Ingleburn Site is known as a 'wet' manufacturing site and processes our FRESH pet food using premium raw ingredients including raw animal protein. You must be comfortable working in an environment that processes raw meat.

Key Responsibilities in the role include:

Electrical maintenance work consisting of both unplanned (reactive or breakdown maintenance) as well as planned (corrective, preventative or work that is of a rebuild nature) for both offline or online equipment

Being first point of contact for electrical maintenance requirements from on-site internal customers (Operations, Safety, Quality and Engineering), but also the timely escalation for additional assistance or work outside their remit (e.g mechanical, other specialised trades) in line with ‘RPF Escalation Protocols’

Completing any assigned or planned work (corrective, preventative or work that is of a rebuild nature), and the scoping of material or additional labour requirements for work that they identify as ‘requests for work’ - Time to time investigations of electrical, control, infrastructure or automation systems, and the immediate escalation and reporting of safety or food safety – near miss reporting, incidents or hazard reporting.

What will help you succeed

Proven experience in a similar role within a food production or manufacturing environment is essential

Excellent communication skills and sound judgment particularly with regards to escalation of any issues and adherence to safety protocols

A strong team player, ready to be part of our pack, working collaboratively and cross-functionally.

Proficient in computer skills with the ability to quickly adapt to and effectively utilize our CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

Experience with inventory management.

Must be flexible and willing to engage in all maintenance operations, even when the focus extends beyond electrical tasks.

You will need to have a go-getter and proactive mindset looking to make a genuine difference.

Qualifications in Electrical Trades is essential (proof required)
