Qualifications

• A Grade Electrician with manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Victorian Electrical Licence required.
• Experience in FMCG/food manufacturing preferred.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills essential.
• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, sensors and automated machinery.
• Preventative maintenance experience desirable.
• Proactive approach to breakdowns and reliability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain site production equipment and electrical systems to stay operational.
• Electrical breakdown and fault finding across production lines.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, sensors, VSDs and automated machinery.
• Collaborate with mechanical maintenance and production teams.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

The Role

Working within a busy food manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for ensuring the site’s production equipment, machinery and electrical systems remain operational and reliable.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Electrical breakdown and fault finding


• Preventative and reactive maintenance


• Troubleshooting electrical and control systems


• Working across automated production and packaging equipment


• PLC fault finding and diagnostics


• Motors, sensors, VSDs and control systems


• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives


• Completing scheduled preventative maintenance


• Working closely with the mechanical maintenance team and production

About You

You will be a qualified A Grade Electrician with experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Ideally, you will have:

• Victorian Electrical Licence


• Previous experience in FMCG / food manufacturing / industrial manufacturing


• Strong electrical fault-finding skills


• Experience with PLCs, VSDs, sensors and automated machinery


• Preventative maintenance experience


• A proactive approach to breakdowns and reliability
